Biography

Andrea R. Herman is a graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School and a proud resident of San Pedro. For many years she represented various Workers’ Compensation insurance companies but realized quickly that she could not continue working against injured workers. As soon as she switched sides, she realized that helping injured workers suits her best. Now she uses tools she learned as a defense attorney to help navigate cases in support of injured workers – her sole goal is to battle the insurance companies on your behalf and win.

For many years she represented various Workers’ Compensation insurance companies but realized quickly that she could not continue working against injured workers. As soon as she switched sides, she realized that helping injured workers suits her best. You are not alone in this process. Along the way, Ms. Herman will explain the litigation process to you with emphasis on where you stand, where she wants to go with your case and why. She starts each case by carefully listening to you. Then she examines the medical and legal documents, the evidence that makes up your file, evaluating that evidence from all angles and the likely perspective of a judge should your case have to go to trial.

She recognizes that most often, a work related injury can be the worst thing that’s ever happened to you. Although everyone always wants a quick resolution, insurance companies and sometimes our clients, too often too many lawyers accomplish that by sacrificing their client’s long-term medical and financial needs. Acknowledging that a fair resolution always takes more time, she will always put your interests first.
